Here is a list of the tools used by students in the class:
Pumpkin Carving Saw – specialized tool for cutting holes in pumpkins. Found in common pumpkin carving kits.
Poker – Used for transferring the pattern from the stencil to the pumpkin by poking holes.
Pen – Used for transferring the pattern from the stencil to the pumpkin with transfer paper.
Clay moulding Ribbon tools – Used for removing skin from the pumpkin and sculpting for a 3D effect.
Scooper – Used for gutting the pumpkin. Note: students will only gut one pumpkin during class.
Toothpicks – Used for re-attaching pieces that may have fallen off.
Blue Transfer paper – Used to transfer the stencil pattern to the pumpkin.
Gloves – Mandatory use of gloves required to avoid cuts or injury.
LED puck light – 3x AA battery powered for illuminating the pumpkin.
